SAFETY & AMENITIES
Runners should be careful at all times, this is NOT A CLOSED COURSE. You should stay in the right lane unless directed otherwise by a volunteer or police officer. Your race number should be visible from the front at all times.

Water tables will be positioned every 2 miles. There will be water and replacement fluid available at all tables and at the finish area. Vaseline and Band aids will also be available at the water tables.

Toilets will be located in Memorial Park adjacent to the Start/Finish area. Toilets will also be available on the course at several of the water tables.

All participants will receive a long sleeved 100% cotton tshirt. Marathon and HalfMarathon participants receive finisher medals.

Post race fruit, bagels, fluids, and hot coffee will be available in Memorial Park for all participants.

PARKING
Parking is a critical component of runner safety during the events. There is limited parking on Tybee Island. Do not park in Tybee Island resident yards’. This is inappropriate behavior and you may be ticketed or towed at your own expense. We ask that event participants park only in city parking lots and metered parking spaces on the island.
Download a parking map for Tybee Island.

The City of Tybee Island is sponsoring free parking on Saturday, so you will not need a permit or to pay for space in the lots or feed the meters, but this is in effect on Saturday only. As in the past, there will be NO PARKING on Butler Avenue from 3rd Street to 7th Street. This will allow more space for the start of the events and maintain a safe area for marathon runners as they begin their second loop. The parking meters in this area will be bagged. You can expect to be towed at your own expense if you park in this area.

There will be shuttles running from the North Beach parking lots and South Beach parking lots on Saturday morning and throughout the day. We ask that Marathon and HalfMarathon participants use the North Beach parking lots and the 5K participants to use the South Beach parking lots. There are also legal parking spaces along the numbered streets east (oceanside) of Butler Avenue. If you park on the south end of the island use Jones Avenue to travel on and off of the island, not Butler Avenue. Jones Avenue is west of the runner crossing point on Butler Avenue and thus you will be able to leave without waiting for runners to pass. Less traffic on Butler Avenue during the event provides a safer course for runners, volunteers and spectators.

More information on parking will be available at late registration & packet pickup on Friday and Saturday morning. Please take time to review the parking information, plan ahead and arrive in time to consider traffic congestion the morning of the event.

PACKET PICK UP
Packet pick up will be held on the Friday before the races. The expo will open promptly at
noon and will be open until 9:00 PM. The Tybee Island Gymnasium will be the site this year. You may also packet pick up on Saturday morning beginning at 6:30 AM until start.

PASTA DINNER
The Pasta Dinner is put on by St Michael's Catholic School. St. Michael's is located at 714 Lovell Avenue just three blocks from Memorial Park and the packet pickup. All money raised goes to St. Michael's School Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to deserving children on Tybee Island and in the surrounding community. Tickets may be purchased at the school or at packet pick up on Friday.
